Anambas is a dream

img_20160511_182535_hdrAnambas is a dream. I have dreamed going to Anambas for Seven years. When I found a thesis about it, I thought that I must be there. I have been starting to dream it until now. Finally, after seven years I got a change to go to Anambas Islands. Big thanks to God for this amazing gift in 2016. I got a duty and I might to go there with my friends. Anambas is not only my dream but also my friend dream. So, this trip is our dream.

20160512_122617Reaching Anambas Islands needs hard efforts. We started our trip from Soekarno Hatta International airport. We take a plane to an airport in Tanjung Pinang, capital of Riau Islands. After that, next day we continue our trip by middle ship. The ship carries more or less 200 people for one trip. There are 2 trips every week for round trip. So, we must make correct planning if we want to go to this Islands. During the trip, we were sitting and watching a movie on the ship. If we were bored, we climbed to deck of ship and we saw sea widely. We also saw dolphin, tern, flying fish, and a few fish that we do not know the name.

isaw0696After more or less 10 hours on the ship, we arrived in Tarempa, capital of Anambas Islands Regency.

untitled-pictureuntitled-picture1Before arriving at the location, the ship usually drop in Letung area, Jemaja island. People debark from the ship and many sea food cuisine sellers sell their goods to All passengers. That activity was very crowded but we were very happy. We got a few portions of grilled fish, fried fish, squid with green pepper sauce, and rice. We ate them soon because we were very hungry. It because we just brought a little food. After eating the seafood cuisine, we go to deck again. From Jemaja island, the ship needs 2 hours again to reach Tarempa. Tarempa is in Siantan Island. We sat at front of the ship. We were waiting for Tarempa. We almost arrived at the destination. We were very happy and we were ready to visiting that Anambas Islands.

isaw0724After 10 hours, finally we arrived at Tarempa and it was sunset time. We started at 8 o’clock and arrived at almost 6 o’clock. We went to inn soon. We took an inn near from harbor. it is just 5 minute from the harbor. The downtown is near from the harbor and the area rivet in Tarempa harbor.

At night, we tried to search Traditional food. We chose one of food stalls near inn and harbor. We chose Tarempa noddle, fish soup, and Tarik tea. It is delicious and we like it very much. Before we order those food, we asked about Halal food. The food seller said that it OK to eat. Tarempa local communities are very friendly. They speak Riau Language and absolutely Indonesian.

According to CNN source, the Anambas Islands are one of Southeast Asia’s most spectacular coastal spots, with good snorkelling and diving spots. One of the Anambas islands with good tourism potential in particular is Pulau Bawah. But for our trip, we cannot visit this island because this island is being under construction. Besides that, to reach the island we need much money. It is very expensive cost. I hope someday, we can go to this island.

  5. In slang Bahasa Malaysia it’s really ‘tak boleh’ which is roughly ‘no, cannot!’ I have lost my skills in 20 years but I still remember a few phrases!

  7. I enjoyed your post! I miss the traditional food of the region the most when coming back to my home of Texas. Even the Malaysian restaurant here cannot make tea tarik right. Tidak boleh!
